There are excellent  rifle hunting and Bowhunting options available  for hunters in our Namibia concessions with some of the most affordable plains game hunting in all of Africa

The country of Namibia is located on the South Western side of the African continent.  Namibia borders the Atlantic Ocean on its  Western side, Botswana to the East and South Africa to the south.  Namibia shares borders with Botswana, Angola, and also Zambia to its North.

Namibia, one of Africa’s most politically stable countries.  Roads, telecommunication, electricity and medical infrastructure is comparable to Australia or USA

(Free wireless internet and mobile phone reception is readily available to hunting clients from our accomodations)

Travelling here is safe and easy and it is one of the few destinations in the world where you can have it all. Beautiful scenery, friendly people and world class African wildlife, modern towns and infrastructure  – comfort and hassle free travelling.

Namibia is rich in history and became independent from South Africa in 1990. The official language is English but Afrikaans is also widely used and a German influence  is still very much in evidence with German  still remaining as one of the main languages spoken in Namibia

Namibia has a population approaching 2 000 000 people and the capital city is Windhoek.

Rifle Hunting

The hunting area for Gunsmoke Adventure clients is  situated a three and half hours drive from Windhoek and is just north of the Waterberg Game Reserve  (The area is the habitat of the biggest free roaming Eland population in Southern Africa).  We also have access to some wonderful mountain hunting concessions for a wide variety of  free ranging plains game species including the beautifully marked Hartman’s mountain zebra

PH’s will be able to bring you in a shooting distance between 80 and 180 meters  “Shooting sticks”  will then be set up.  Shots are normally from 100 meters or less.

Blinds are available and occasionally used

The main hunting areas are NOT game fenced allowing some of the best free range African plains trophy hunting available.

In addition to excellent Eland trophy hunting the brushy terrain in the hunting areas provide excellent habitat for Kudu, Oryx, Hartebeest, Springbok, Steenbok, Duiker, Warthog, Blesbok, Giraffe,  Black Wildebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra (Burchell’s), Zebra (Mountain), Impala, Damara Dik-Dik, Klipspringer, Waterbuck, Brown hyena, Caracal, Honey Badger, Africa Wild Cat, Jackal, Baboons, Leopard, Cheetah, Porcupine and quite a variety of wingshooting options if you like birds.
